The Maintenance Technician job in a nutshell…..

Maintenance Technicians were once called Quick Lube Techs. While speed is important, being accurate and thorough is far more crucial. You will be working on a team thoroughly inspecting customer and dealership vehicles. You will be tasked to change oil and perform general maintenance jobs.  

There is no shortage of training…

Training is conducted online, in the classroom, and on-the-job. Both General Motors and Toyota have maintenance certification courses you will be completing.  

The career path is as big as you want…

While employed as a Maintenance Technician, you will work alongside some of the best technicians in the industry. The Maintenance Technician career path is a fulfilling one. In time, you may decide to work your way up to becoming a Certified Technician, then a Master, and possibly, a World-class Technician. Some people have transitioned from the Maintenance Technician position to the path of a Service or Parts Advisor.

Great work means great pay…

All Maintenance Technicians start on a 60-day training and evaluation period. This period is $13.00 an hour. Upon completion of the 60-day training and evaluation period, the pay raises to $15.00 an hour, plus bonuses. Bonuses are paid individually, and as a team, for performing at an exceptional level. This position typically pays between $30,000 and $42,000 a year.
